William Arthur Brown

I have a wide variety of skills and interests, and my main passions are writing and using creative skills to come up with solutions for problems. I created Behind the Bench because it blended together my interests of content writing, storytelling, graphic design, and all things sports related. 

I graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS in 2018 with a BA in History and a Minor in Communications. After spending a year working on a newspaper digitalization research project at the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, I sought to return to school to expand my skillsets and combine my skills in writing and research with a stronger multimedia toolbox. I made the decision to move to North Carolina to attend Elon University’s 10 month Masters in Interactive Media because of the program’s unique structure, focus on students, and reputation as being on the cutting edge in digital technology. At Elon, I further developed my writing and research skills by learning how to target written content toward a specific audience, and also focused on Graphic Design, Brand Marketing, Storytelling, and Digital Strategy.
